Stanisław Ostoja-Chrostowski
Stanisław Ostoja-Chrostowski and Polish woodcut
Stanisław Ostoja-Chrostowski (1900-1947) was a Polish graphic artist, woodcut artist, and painter, and one of the leading figures in the revival of wood engraving in Poland between the two world wars. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he created illustrations and covers for his country's publishing industry, including the cover of Emil Ludwig's 'Cleopatra'. He won a bronze medal in the art competition at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games and, after working in the resistance during the Second World War, became rector of the re-established Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that pursuit, not filling an empty space.
Crafted to last
Every Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We do not chase an immediate effect: we seek a result that remains faithful to the original colors over time, because a work designed to be passed down deserves a foundation as solid as the story it tells.
Why choose Miriaci
Choosing Miriaci means relying on work carried out with care, from printing to delivery.
- Careful shipping: every piece travels protected and ready to hang.

A work of art, not just decoration
A print does more than fill a wall: it carries a theme, an era, and a story that continues to speak to those who look at it. The works by Stanisław Ostoja-Chrostowski preserved by Miriaci remain true to this principle - pieces chosen for their meaning, even before their aesthetic appeal.
Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
