Constructivism

Constructivism, Geometry as a Universal Language

In the early decades of the twentieth century, Constructivism asserted an idea of art founded on geometry and on reducing form to an essential sign. In this collection, that language finds expression in the work of Joaquín Torres García (1874-1949), a Spanish-Uruguayan painter and theorist who, after a long European career spanning Barcelona, Paris, and New York, developed the theory of Universal Constructivism in Montevideo: a geometric grid into which pictograms are inserted, reducing figures and objects to symbolic signs, as seen in The Artists' Ball; Two Dancers. Founder of the Escuela del Sur and mentor to generations of Uruguayan artists, he remains one of the key figures in Latin American geometric abstraction. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that exploration, not filling an empty space.

Crafted to last

Each Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We do not chase an immediate effect: we seek a finish that remains faithful to the original colors over time, because a work intended to be passed down deserves a foundation as solid as the story it tells.

Why choose Miriaci

Choosing Miriaci means relying on work carried out with care, from printing to delivery.

  • Careful shipping: every piece travels protected and ready to hang.
  • Archival materials: 300 g/m² fine art paper and frames chosen to last over time.
  • Real support: our team remains available to help you choose the work best suited to your space.

A work of art, not just a decoration

A print does more than simply fill a wall: it carries a theme, an era, and a story that continues to speak to those who view it. The Constructivist works curated by Miriaci remain true to this principle — pieces chosen for their meaning, even before their aesthetic appeal.

Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
