Alfred Prunaire
Alfred Prunaire, the art of wood engraving
Alfred Prunaire was one of the most highly regarded French wood engravers of the second half of the nineteenth century. He translated drawings by Daumier and Delacroix into woodcuts, moving naturally from vigorous lines to the utmost delicacy; his prints are held, among other places, at the Louvre and the Brooklyn Museum. Italian School: Giovanni Battista Palatino, Greek Alphabet pays tribute to one of the great calligraphy masters of sixteenth-century Italy: a sheet where writing becomes drawing. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that artistic pursuit, not just filling an empty space.
Crafted to last
Each Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We don't chase immediate impact: we seek a result that remains true to the original colors over time, because a work meant to be passed down deserves a foundation as solid as the story it tells.

A work of art, not just decoration
A print doesn't just fill a wall: it carries a theme, an era, a story that continues to speak to those who look at it. The works of Alfred Prunaire held by Miriaci remain true to this principle — pieces chosen for their meaning, before their aesthetics.
Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
