Joaquín Torres García
Joaquín Torres García and the universal grammar of form
Joaquín Torres García (1874-1949) traveled across early 20th-century Europe — Barcelona, Paris, New York — before returning to Montevideo in 1934, where he developed Universal Constructivism: a geometric grid into which he inserted pictograms that reduced figures and objects to essential signs. The Artists' Ball illustrates this exploration well, a visual language the artist believed could speak beyond cultures and borders. Founder of the Escuela del Sur and the Taller Torres-García, he shaped entire generations of Uruguayan artists, having also taught a young Joan Miró among his Barcelona students. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that exploration, not filling an empty space.
Crafted to last
Each Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We do not chase an immediate effect: we seek a result that remains faithful to the original colors over time, because a work designed to be passed down deserves a foundation as solid as the story it tells.

A work of art, not just a decoration
A print does more than fill a wall: it carries a theme, an era, a story that continues to speak to those who look at it. The works by Joaquín Torres García held by Miriaci remain true to this principle — pieces chosen for their meaning before their aesthetics.
Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
