Nakayasu Shinzaburō
Nakayasu Shinzaburō and the Textile Art of Kyoto
Nakayasu Shinzaburō was a Japanese publisher and designer active in Kyoto during the Meiji period, and the editor of Shin Zuan (New Designs), a twenty-volume repertory published between 1891 and 1894. The collection, also known as Nishijin orimono shin zuan, brought together decorative motifs designed for the Nishijin textile industry, the renowned Kyoto district specializing in fine silk weaving, as shown in the plate New Designs (Shin Zuan), Pl. 8. As with many authors of these Japanese late-nineteenth-century drawing manuals, his dates of birth and death remain uncertain, but his work remains a valuable testament to the connection between decorative art and textile craftsmanship. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that research, not filling an empty space.
Crafted to last
Each Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We do not chase an immediate effect: we seek a finish that remains faithful to the original colors over time, because a work intended to be passed down deserves a foundation as solid as the story it tells.

A print does not merely fill a wall: it carries a theme, an era, and a story that continues to speak to those who look at it. The works by Nakayasu Shinzaburō held by Miriaci remain faithful to this principle — pieces chosen for their meaning, even before their aesthetic appeal.
Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
