Jules-Edmond-Charles Lachaise
Jules-Edmond-Charles Lachaise, interior decorator
Jules-Edmond-Charles Lachaise (died in 1897) was a French decorator active in Paris alongside Eugène-Pierre Gourdet. Together, they designed painted decorations for walls and ceilings: moldings, friezes, and floral and geometric motifs, drawn in pen and watercolor with great precision. Many of these designs are now preserved at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Design for a Ceiling with Floral Motifs and a Greek Key Border brings this idea of decoration as an architecture of color into your home. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that artistic vision, not filling an empty space.
Craftsmanship designed to last
Each Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We don’t chase instant impact: we aim for a finish that remains faithful to the original colors over time, because a work meant to be passed down deserves a solid foundation as enduring as the story it tells.

A work of art, not just decoration
A print doesn’t simply fill a wall: it brings with it a theme, an era, a story that continues to speak to those who look at it. The works by Jules-Edmond-Charles Lachaise preserved by Miriaci remain true to this principle — pieces chosen for their significance, before their aesthetic appeal.
Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
