Mikuláš Galanda
Mikuláš Galanda: the birth of modern Slovak painting
Mikuláš Galanda (1895-1938) was one of the founders of modern Slovak art, able to blend the lessons of European Expressionism and Cubism with the themes and landscapes of his country's popular culture. His lyrical, melancholy-tinged style focuses on female portraits and scenes of domestic life, as revealed by Woman at the Window. He was the first art editor of the magazine Dav and, together with Ľudovít Fulla, brought the magazine Private Letters to life, dedicated to reflection on modern art; he exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1936 and won a silver medal in Paris in 1937. Bringing one of these prints into your home means preserving that artistic exploration, not filling an empty space.
Crafted to last
Every Framed Art Print is made with fine art paper, then finished and framed by hand in Italy. We do not chase an immediate effect: we seek a finish that remains faithful to the original colors over time, because a work intended to be passed down deserves a foundation as solid as the story it tells.

A work of art, not just a decoration
A print does more than simply fill a wall: it carries a theme, an era, and a story that continues to speak to those who view it. The works by Mikuláš Galanda preserved by Miriaci remain true to this principle — pieces chosen for their meaning, even before their aesthetics.
Aesthetics fade. Meaning remains.
